After Sony and Ericsson separation the newly launched Xperia Lineup appeared with only Sony branding instead of Sony Ericsson. Sony Xperia S is one of the newly launched Xperia phone in this lineup, we will discuss about Sony Xperia S Specifications and Features in this article. It is a high specs Android handsets. Xperia S already starts shipping in some regions with or without carriers and will be available soon in other countries.

The Phone measures 128 x 64 x 10.6 mm in size with 144 gm of weight. Sony Xperia S features 4.3 inch LED-backlit LCD capacitive touchscreen supported by Sony Mobile BRAVIA Engine with Scratch-resistant glass, Multitouch, bright and HD 1280 x 720 pixel resolution of 342 ppi pixel density better than any other Sony phone i.e. Sony Ericsson Xperia X12 Arc etc.

Sony Xperia S Specifications are powered by Dual-core 1.5 GHz Qualcomm MSM8260 Snapdragon processor with Adreno 220 GPU, 1 GB RAM and 32 GB storage, although there is no memory card slot for expansion. The Xperia S runs on Google Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) operating system and will be upgraded to Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) in near future. The OS will be supported by Sony’s Timescape User Interface. The phone only has support for MicroSIM card instead of normal SIM card.
