How to Sync Outlook Contacts with iPhone

To sync Outlook contacts with iPhone you will need three things, a PC, your iPhone and a USB dock connector for your iPhone. Also you will need to have Microsoft Outlook 2003, 2007 or 2010 installed on your PC along with iTunes. You can get the iTunes from Apple official website.

Step 1: Connect your iPhone to your PC. Make sure that the auto-sync option in the iTunes settings is blocked, or your device will get automatically synced with iTunes

Step 2:  Open iTunes and under devices choose your iPhone

Step 3:  Select the Info tab

Step 4:  Under contacts, tick the box next to “Sync contacts from”

Step 5:  Select Outlook

Step 6:  According to your need choose “All Contacts” or “Selected Groups”

Step 7:  Click apply

If the syncing isn’t successful then you will have to make some change in settings in the Outlook window before following the above steps.

Step 1: Open Outlook

Step 2: Open “Tools”

Step 3: Select “Trust Center”

Step 4: Choose “Add-ins”

Step 5: Choose “COM Add-ins” under “Manage”

Step 6: Select “iTunes Sync Add-in”

Step 7: Click OK

This should do the trick.

Syncing tasks helps people to keep track of scheduled events and appointments with the help of his/her iPhone.

As usual you will need a PC with Microsoft Outlook and iTunes installed your iPhone and a USB dock connector.
