Sony Ericsson's Officially Announced Xperia X8 for €259

Sony Ericsson’s unveiled new mid range handset (code name – Shakira )as the latest member of the Xperia line. The 3-inch Xperia X8 will join the Xperia line up with Xperia X10 and its Mini siblings with taking their best features.

The Xperia X8 will run Android 1.6 OS and then shortly after receive an update to Android 2.1, or it will launch with Android 2.1 depending on timing and the market it is going to. where you have access to the Android Market. With this you can download new apps and games, free or against charge.

and you will also get Sony Ericsson’s Timescape for easy access to all your social networking and Mediascape for multimedia applications similar to Xperia X10 mini.

A 3.2 megapixel camera is available around back, with WiFi, a 600MHz CPU, 1,200mAh battery, and interchangeable covers completing the value proposition. 3.5 mm audio jack available with this phone to enjoy your favorite tracks. First time introduced AVP port in a mobile device helps you to connect both 3.5 mm cables and special AVP cables so you can listen to HD quality audio with a special headset or boxes.

The Xperia X8 will be available in the colours White, Dark Blue/ White, Aqua Blue/ White, Pink/ White, Silver/ White from Q3. The X8 will cost around €259 ($318) when it launches in the third quarter of this year.
