- Back up registry before proceeding.
- Navigate through Registry Editor.
- Open HKCU > Software > Classes > Local Settings > Software > Microsoft > Windows > Current Version > Tray Notify.
- Find Regedit on the right hand side of your screen and delete Icon Streams.
- Also delete PastIconStreams, which is located close by.
- Log off ands back up Registry edit for proper application. Stop explorer.exe and restart the process if need be.
