HTC is a cell phone company which is well known for stylish and rich features mobile phones.Newly launched mobile HTC Desire Z is also falls in the same category.HTC Desire Z have Comfortable 4-row QWERTY messenger, Android 2.2 (Froyo) OS and new S-LCD display screen with HTC sense UI.So you can expect a good performance from this phone.
This phone has Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE and dual-band 3G support with 14.4 Mbps HSDPA and 5.76 Mbps HSUPA speed.Although its clock spped is just 800 MHz with Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM7230 processor compare to HTC Desire HD with 1 Ghz.HTC Desire Z has 512 MB RAM and 1.5 GB ROM for fast speed and microSD card slot supports 32 GB and you will also get bundled microSD 8 GB memory card for your music, video, pictures and other data storage.
With a 3.7″ 16M-color capacitive S-LCD touchscreen of WVGA resolution (480x 800 pixel), a full four-row hardware keyboard and rather free-handed use of metal, the HTC Desire Z easily tips the scales at the impressive 180 grams. At 119 x 60.4 x 14.2 mm, it is definitely not a piece to just slip in a pocket and forget about either.Although in terms of contrast, reflectiveness and sunlight legibility, performence of S-LCD screen is just average.
The video player did well to handle most DivX and XviD videos we tested – it only choked on a single DivX video of 720p resolution. Other HD videos ran problem-free. The high-res screen has 15:9 aspect ratio – so cropping 16:9 videos to fullscreen cuts out very little and the overall viewing experience is very good.Standard 3.5 mm audio jack is provided to listen and enjoy your favorite music and Stereo FM radio with RDS support is also included with auto FM stations tuning.
The HTC Desire Z is equipped with a 5 megapixel autofocus camera for a maximum image resolution of 2592х1944 pixels. While premium Android handsets are already on the 8MP notch, the Desire Z is content to offer good resolution for still images and 720p @ 25 fps videos. But lack of front facing camera is not avoidable in case of video call.
The local wireless connectivity has Wi-Fi b/g/n and full DLNA support (both client and server, for images, videos and music) and Bluetooth 2.1.GPS with A-GPS is also included for map navigation.Accelerometer and proximity sensor is also available in HTC Desire Z.
Last but not least is the HTC Portable Hotspot – Android 2.2 Froyo has Wi-Fi tethering built-in, but this app is actually more powerful. It can connect 1 to 8 devices (default app maxes out at 5) and you can set the maximum.
You can encrypt the hotspot with WEP, WPA or WPA2 and you can enable only “allowed users” to connect or leave it open for anything (unsecure, but the quickest setup). You can set the app to power off automatically after 5 or 10 minutes of inactivity, saving your battery if you forget to switch it off manually.
