Tablet-like Smartphone’s, which are commonly called “phablets”, are being released by most players in the Smartphone businesses. LG has come up with the LG Optimus G Pro. With a 5.5 inch Full HD 1080p display, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 quad-core processor, this phablet is aimed to reach for the sky. With a lot of powerful and impressive features, along with a top-notch camera, will this Smartphone make it large? We’ll let you decide.
LG Optimus G Pro Design
The Optimus G Pro has a plastic body that is shiny. But, from the design point of view, it is not that well-designed that it will make heads turn. The phone is available in two colours, black and white. The back side is adorned with an attractive checkerboard pattern. The phone measures 5.8 x 3 x 0.37 inches, and weighs about 6.2 ounces. Despite the large screen size, the phone is comfortable to hold, and the phone feels quite light too.
Buttons and Physical ports
There are capacitive Back and Menu buttons while the Home button is hard-clickable. There is a notification light around the Home button that glows in different colours to notify the user. There is a volume rocker on the left side, and a programmable button above it. The 3.5mm headphone port is placed at the top, along with an infrared port. The back panel of the phone is removable and the battery can also be replaced. There is also a MicroSD card slot to increase the storage space.
The 1080p screen provides sharp and crisp images. The viewing angle of the screen is also impressive. But the colours seem less vibrant when compared to other top-of-the-line Smartphones in the market.
The phone features a speaker on the rear side, and the audio coming out of it is loud enough to be heard properly in a small room. The reproduced sound is also accurate, although it is a bit flat.
The Optimus G Pro features a quad-core 1.7 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor and 2 gigabytes of RAM, making everyday tasks blazingly fast. Processor-intensive apps also run smoothly and without any glitches.
LG Optimus G Pro Camera
LG Optimus G Pro Features 13-megapixel rear camera, the Optimus G Pro is capable of producing sharp and detailed images. Colors produced by the camera are also accurate, although they are not very vibrant. There is a 2-megapixel front-facing camera which also produces good images. The inbuilt camera app is also feature-rich and provides a lot of in-app shooting modes including a Panorama mode.
The phone sports a 3,140 mAh battery that lasts for almost 7 hours, making battery performance above-average.

But if anyone wants a phone with a big screen and powerful hardware, the LG Optimus G Pro is worth trying.
