Nokia has announced its second smartphone Linux-based MeeGo platform running Nokia N950 along with Nokia N9. We have already discussed about Nokia N9 features, now we will discuss about the new Nokia N950 mobile. Nokia N950 is larger than Nokia N9 in size and its body is made by aluminum.
Nokia N950 features 4 inch TFT LCD display screen compared to the Nokia N9 3.9 inch AMOLED display with same screen resolution of 854 x 480 pixels. We have already said that it will run on Linux-based MeeGo operating system. N950 is powered by a 1 GHz ARM Cortex-A8 architecture based OMAP 3630 processor and PowerVR SGX530 graphics chip. The N950 will come with 1GB RAM same as in Nokia N9.
The N950 smartphone will have slide out QWERTY keyboard for easy text messaging. The N950 mobile will packed with 12 megapixel rear camera and also has front camera for video calls. Nokia N950 smartphone does not have support for NFC. It will come with 1320mAh battery. Nokia N950 features includes Bluetooth version 2.1+EDR and Wi-Fi b/g/n as wireless connectivity options.. According to unconfirmed sources N950 mobile will have limited availability in market, as it only targeted for developers, it means N950 mobile won’t be commercially available.
