10 Useful Windows Commands:

1. ipconfig: Details about a computer’s internet protocol can be found out from control, but that requires few steps. Instead one can have the same result using CMD or Command Prompt using a syntax “ipconfig”.
2. ipconfig/flushdns: After changing DNS server if a person wants to make sure that the computer is using new DNS settings instead of old, he or she should flush the DNS cache which computer generates for running using syntax “ipconfig/flushdns”.
3. ping, tracert: In order to check network connectivity of a computer about packets sent or received or similar issues, one can try typing “ping” or “tracert” on CMD which will show status of network connectivity real time.

5. recimg: A computer’s custom recovery image can be created on Windows 8 computers with the help of command “recimg” as this function is hidden by default in computer.
6. wbadmin start backup: This command is useful in creating images of each and every single file of a system of Windows 7 interface and this function is an exclusive one of Windows 8.1. So this function is quite different from Window’s 8’s.
7. sfc/scannow: This is one of the most useful Windows Commands which is used to scan the system for errors in system and those will be fixed automatically which the best part of it is.
8. telnet: Firstly, telnet client needs to be installed from Control Panel since this service is not given by default. Then one can use telnet command to connect to telnet server.
9. cipher: This command is used to delete files permanently as well as overwrite existing directories.
10. netstat –an: This is also another of the most useful Windows Commands which shows all open network connections available and the respective ports being used.
